The
Vallee de Mai on Praslin is one of the smallest areas which is declared as a
Unesco world heritage. The valley in the Praslin nationalpark is the home of
the Coco de Mer. The huge palms are one remarkable remain of prehistoric woods
which already existed as the Seychelles were part of the Gondwana continent,
which divided up into Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Madagascar and the islands
of the Indian Ocean. Isolated for millions of years emerged different animals
and plants, which exists only on the Seychelles. |
